Il punto di accesso ha l'aspetto di una presa Ethernet convenzionale e si utilizza invece con il montaggio. UniFi InWall HD, nonostante il suo insolito fattore di forma, ha una parte radio molto produttiva. Il modello supporta gli standard 802.11 AC nella revisione wave 2, che consente l'uso delle tecnologie Mu-Mimo e Beamforming. Pertanto, il modello è adatto anche per l'uso in reti WiFi ad alta densità, il che per un modello così compatto è un risultato più che soddisfacente. L'interfaccia di rete del modello comprende 5 porte Ethernet, un numero inaspettatamente elevato per un punto di accesso WiFi. Tuttavia, tenendo conto che il modello dispone anche di funzioni di presa Ethernet, è abbastanza naturale.
