A gigabit LAN port provides for integration of devices without their own wireless LAN into the home network. Ultra-fast Wireless N – high data throughput The FRITZ!WLAN Repeater 450E supports all common radio standards, exploiting the advantages of Wireless N at up to 450 Mbit/s. The device is also downward compatible to the 802.11g and b standards. Thanks to deployment of MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) antennas and the latest technology for optimizing range and throughput, the range and data rates are significantly higher than those of the previous solutions based on 11n. Maximum wireless security – compact design Maximum security is ensured by the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater 450E's support of the latest encryption methods like WPA2 (802.11i), WPA and WEP. Information on the operating status is displayed directly on the device LEDs. The LED display also allows the ideal position for the device to be determined, as they indicate the quality of the wireless signal. The especially compact design means the device can be plugged into practically any 230V socket—no special equipment or cables are needed. Simple installation – a perfect combination with the FRITZ!Box The FRITZ!WLAN Repeater 450E dovetails perfectly with the other FRITZ!Box products for wireless LAN. With WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) the repeater is installed at the click of a button or through a convenient browser-based wizard. The FRITZ!WLAN Repeater 450E makes it easy and convenient to extend the wireless range of products that already support WPS, including the AVM FRITZ!Box models 7490, 7390, 3390. The repeater can adopt the settings for wireless LAN night service and wireless LAN guest access from the FRITZ!Box. Gigabit LAN port for flexible deployment A fast gigabit LAN port even allows the connection of network devices like TVs, Blu-ray players or printers to be integrated into the home network.
